Rhino Velo Pyrenees is situated in the small village of St Jean De Verges. Just on the edge of the River Ariege and 7km from the Medievel City of Foix. The Ariege is located in the south western area of the Midi Pyrenees. Close to famous Tour De France climbs such as Plateau de Beille and Andorra.

Backed by Andorra and Spain to the south east. The Ariege has a wide variety of flora and fauna. It's green landscape gives way from the rolling hills of the Piedmont to the 3000m peaks that the Tour de France passes through. Making it ideal for cyclists with quiet, tranquil roads and stunning views and scenery.

Where are we?

We live in one of the most unspoilt areas of France. The countryside is wild but easily accessible. There are a huge network of quiet and pleasant roads in the area to cycle and a total of 24 Grand Cols can be tackled from 5 km to over 18 km long with the highest over 2000 metres. As well as the High mountains there are plenty of flat and rolling roads to the north broken up by beautiful villages and breath taking scenery.

We have an impressive views of the nearby mountains and the L'Ariege river runs only 300 metres away from our house. A good variety of different routes take you straight out into the unspoilt countryside, passing through quaint villages with traditional boulangeries, patisseries and coffee shops.
